First Friday Reception: October 3rd, 6-9pm
Elizabeth Soule continues to explore the limiting qualities of the Lo-Fi Polaroid process in her new series: Letting the Horses Loose. Each image was made using a Polaroid SX-70 camera to capture the life-like personalities of each of these toy horses. Today’s Hi-Fi technologies of digital scanning and printing enable these horses to be presented in a large playful scale.
Soule moved to Portland, Oregon 3 years ago and never wants to leave. She has earned a BFA and a Professional Certificate in photography from the Maine Photographic Workshops, where she studied black and white printing and alternative process. She enjoys photographing in a variety of film formats including toy and Polaroid cameras.
We are requiring appointments before visiting and masks and social distancing are mandatory. Thank your for your understanding.
