The Emotional Landscape
All of us have a deep connection to certain places. We see these places not as they are, but idealize them through our memories. In the Emotional Landscape series, artist Karen Klinedinst explores her deep emotional connection to the natural landscape. Inspired by the 19thcentury landscape paintings of the Hudson River School, she creates richly layered landscapes that combine the real with the imagined.
