First Friday Reception: July 2nd, 6-9pm
“These blown out tires first caught my eye while driving. Certain stretches of road seem to be littered for miles and often take on the appearance of trees emerging from concrete. I set out and collected them in the back of my pick-up and brought them to the studio where I photographed them and made cameraless photograms. I’m interested in the contrasts, details and the interplay between light and dark and how these things allude to our experience with the urban and natural landscape.”
