First Friday Reception: March 1st, 6-9pm
On May 19, 2012 the Oregon chapter of ASMP sponsored Portland Squared, an event focused on bringing together the Portland Photographic Community. This event brought together 49 photographers who each documented their portion of a square mile of Portland Oregon, centered on the Burnside Bridge. Participants went by boat, plane, foot and car to capture our fair city. This gallery show displays the work and creativity that went into documenting the people, architecture and landscape of downtown Portland on that day.
The American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP) was founded in 1944 by a handful of the world’s leading photojournalists and is recognized internationally for its leadership and advocacy role among professional photographers. ASMP has over 5,000 members, including many of the world’s most well respected photographers, in 40 chapters nationwide.
We are requiring appointments before visiting and masks and social distancing are mandatory. Thank your for your understanding.
